Family Education

I provide virtual and in-person classes in topics such as: Childbirth Education, Birth Planning, and Infant Feeding.

Listed below you will find the private/semi-private rates (for yourself and/or your partner or support person).

Please inquire about group teaching rates or other topics of interest.

Childbirth Education Class

$150/class (2 hours)

In this class, we talk through what to expect from your inner and outer world leading up to your labor, through the birth of your baby (and placenta) and the early postpartum period.

We discuss birth physiology, common interventions, as well as comfort measures available to you. If you know where you are laboring, I personalize the content to reflect what to expect at that setting. We also discuss newborn procedures and what to expect in the days and weeks following your birth, including postpartum preparation recommendations.

Specific questions are welcomed and encouraged! This is one of the reasons I love small class settings. This class is a great pre-cursor to my Birth Planning Session or a prenatal session with your doula.

Birth Planning Session

$150/class (2 hours, Birth Plan included)

If you would like support creating your birth plan, I walk you through your options in this class. I answer your questions about the areas you are uncertain about, and we get to the root of what’s most important to you. I don’t make decisions for you, but I do help you navigate these decisions.

As a follow up, I send you a simple birth plan document reflecting the views shared in our class. No final answers necessary — you can continue to edit the document as you wish.

This is a great option for someone who is not interested in full day-of labor support but would like more prenatal and educational support leading up to their birth. It is a great complement to my childbirth education class — I highly recommend doing a childbirth education class of some kind before our birth planning session, although it is not necessary.

Infant Feeding

$150/class (2 hours)

In this class, we discuss infant feeding choices, explore parenting philosophies, and create an infant feeding plan that aligns with your priorities and values.

The fundamentals of breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and formula feeding are discussed, including techniques, common challenges, and basic supplies and supports for your journey.

The private/semi-private session helps me personalize the class to you.
