Hi, I’m Megan
Certified Speech-Language Pathologist and Labor Doula, and owner of New Day Doula and New Day Speech Services.
I currently live in Hunterdon County with my husband, two cats, and 2-year-old son. When I am not providing doula or feeding support in my community, I enjoy seeing theatre, writing, traveling, and creating memories with my family.
My son is a big part of why I do what I do. I started my doula training while navigating infertility, and pursued both dreams with dedicated passion. My personal experience with bringing my son into this world — from multiple fertility treatments and losses to a difficult labor and then early feeding challenges — changed me forever. At a time when I planned to transition out of the speech field to become a full-time doula, my sweet boy’s heart-shaped tongue (iykyk!) launched me into the world of pediatric feeding. Soon I birthed a new dream of bringing these two services together.
My doula training taught me to lead with emotional support, and I now bring that model of care to my speech and feeding therapy and parent coaching/education. I am passionate about supporting families through the major life transitions of birthing and feeding a baby (or babies), and I bring a whole-body and family-oriented approach to these services.
As your doula (in labor, speech, or feeding), I trust your intuition, I value your goals, and I see you for the amazing parent you are. Wherever you are on your journey and whichever area you could use support in, I am here for you. I can’t wait to know you.
